What I offer

I use cloud based technology to cut through the demands and pressures of running a business and staying compliant with ATO and Fairworks. I’m a registered BAS Agent with direct access to support services that keep me in touch and up to date. I subscribe to HR support services to help with the interpretation of Modern Awards and I’m a member of the ICB.

Running a business is challenging and demands a steady finger on the financial pulse. Modern solutions enable a business to plan ahead, check it's financial health and forecast the future. Up to date bookkeeping and financial reporting drive your business forward, removing obstacles and enabling your company to grow and thrive.

Bookkeeping in the Cloud

Cloud-based accounting applications provide powerful solutions for everyday financial management. There are many ways that these programs can make your life easier, particularly if they are setup and configured to make the most of the available features. Integration with Smartphone apps, bank feeds and so on make the process of managing payments and invoices easy.

As a BAS Agent and Bookkeeper the Cloud gives me the flexibility to work remotely or at your location. The software stores documents and statements securely, aiding ATO compliance and “Good Record Keeping”. No more hunting through filing cabinets for those elusive invoices and bank statements.

I work with XERO, QBO & MYOB. If you're unsure about which application to go for, I'm more than happy to recommend a solution based on your requirements and budget. If you have any questions about software, just get in touch.

5 Ways to Improve your Cash Flow

It's not easy to read a list of twenty ways to improve your cash flow - especially if you are in a time squeeze, have your BAS to prepare, your business to market, sales to make, staff to manage and suppliers to call. So here are just five top tips:

  1. Reduce your invoice terms from 30 to 7 days, for faster payment.
  2. Don't pay all your bills right away, use the 30 day terms rule.
  3. Send out weekly statements – these are good reminders for your clients. Use a reliable software tool.
  4. Ask for full payment up front or 50% at least. Let's face it, you don't travel and pay after the event.
  5. Develop a good relationship with your clients and do not be afraid to discuss money and outstanding bills.

Okay! One more for good measure.

  1. Always have a contract, engagement letter or some type of agreement in place with your customer. Verbal agreements often tend to unravel, leaving you high and dry.
